Christopher has taken a real interest in art as of late, be it sketching his own comic books or painting watercolors when he's visiting his Papa. On Thursday he took an art class at the Rocky Mount Hobby Lobby, and I must admit that I was BLOWN AWAY by what he did in those four hours! Above is the final painting, which we will frame and keep forever. It's a 16x20 oil on canvas.

I have to give a big shout-out to Christopher's teacher, Melody, who was absolutely delightful and quite talented. Christopher says she's a great teacher. Melody travels to and teaches painting classes in various locations around Eastern NC, from Rocky Mount to Wilmington. We would certainly recommend one of Melody's classes:
