A few times a year our church has a Worship Arts Night, in which the congregation can worship the Lord through any medium they choose. In December we had our most recent Worship Arts Night. Our son John, who feels called to preach someday, decided he would preach his first sermon. John did not simply recite one of Daddy's outline: John wrote his own sermon (with a little help from Daddy), practiced it, and delivered it to the congregation. He did a great job!
John is 8 years old.
John: "Mommy, how old was Daddy when he preached his first sermon?"
Me: "Daddy was 13."
John: "Boy. That's old."

Also on Worship Arts Night, Christopher played the piano with me. We were very proud of Christopher!
